Yvonne Beyer, M.A.,MFT, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Body-Oriented Somatic and Transpersonal Psychotherapy -- Addictions Counselor
By trusting your inner wisdom, you can heal old beliefs and negative thoughts that keep you stuck and unable to go forward in your life. As we embark upon the journey of your healing, I will be there to assist and guide you in co-creating your life's goals and dreams. In facilitating your process, I use various modalities, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), focusing, meditation and other body based therapies. My training is transpersonal and body-oriented, which means that I believe one way in "coming home" to yourself is through the inner wisdom of your own body. Please let me assist you in making lasting changes so that you, too, might enjoy more meaningful relationships with yourself and others, and find your inner peace.
Please contact me at (510)601-0132 or visit my web page.

Sonia Telle, M.A., MFT #45964
My therapy practice is informed by various trainings as well as the strong belief that there is, in all of us, a natural source of health that instinctively moves us towards happiness and well being. The approach is body centered. It is from our bodies (our home) that we can access our great wisdom, heal past wounds and remember how to be more present, alive and connected with our true essence.

For this, my work combines psychotherapy together with various somatic practices, movement, meditation, trauma work and sometimes some expressive arts and sandplay. Another aspect of my counseling is working with cultural diversity issues, often within multicultural marriages or addressing intergenerational aspects of culture, race, identity and sense of belonging. My work is held in Spanish and French as well as in English

I have an M.A. in somatic psychotherapy from CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies), and I am also certified in Holotropic Breathwork from the Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT). I am currently completing the 4th year in bioenergetics.

I offer counseling sessions for individuals, couples, families and children. You are welcome to contact me if you have any questions or would like an appointment by phone at (510)601-1929 or at sonia@earthcirclescenter.com.

I am most inspired in life by the capacity we all share to heal, grow, and reach for the joy and connection that is our birthright. I witness this capacity every day in my clients' courage to transform past hurts, memories, and present day obstacles into deepening relationships with themselves and the freedom to make richer choices in their lives.

In the compassion and safety of deep acceptance and presence, I create the space for you to reach for this freedom and richness in your life. A space where you can learn to feel relaxed, empowered, and alive, and create the loving, trusting relationships with others we all yearn for.

My work blends deep empathy with somatic, relational, and mindfulness techniques to build a healthy sense of self and guide clarity of insight into old patterns to effectively resolve depression, isolation, low self-esteem, anxiety and grief. I approach the work we do together from a transpersonal perspective as well to support you in strengthening your individuality, spiritual wholeness, resiliency and capacity to make choices in a very complex world.

I specialize in healing sexual, physical and emotional trauma, addictions and eating disorders, and have extensive training in EMDR, Somatic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Non-Violent Communication, yoga and meditation. It is a privilege for a therapist to be entrusted with the client's dreams, emotions, failures, and successes. I treat therapy as just that: a privilege. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the healing process and treat this relationship with respect. Transformation can be a challenging process. My work is to help identify your strengths, so that you can become the person that you dream to be.

I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA and have experience with a diverse range of clients and presenting problems: including depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, bereavement, self esteem, and adjustment. I also have experience working with individuals, couples and families, and enjoy new creative ways of working with children and adolescents.

With each client I work experientially, relationally, and somatically to allow the process toward a healthy self-concept. For me, therapy is collaboration between two experts, the client who is the expert of their experience and the therapist who has been trained in numerous ways that may introduce the client to a fresh way of conceptualizing their experience. I look forward to meeting and supporting you in your journey of transformation.

Please feel free to call me at 510-601-1929 ex 23 and leave a message in the voice mailbox.

I am drawn to the field of psychology because I am consistently amazed by each individual's unique and creative ability to heal. Much of effective healing lies in the process of examining the wounds and traumas that have created obstacles in one's life, and discovering the appropriate tools, process and perspective with which to deal with this trauma. Yet for me the real power of therapy lies in the ability to relate to past wounds while simultaneously defining yourself by your spirits innate wisdom, wholeness, and unique beauty. As author Richard Moss says "The greatest gift you have to offer is the quality of your attention." My hope in our work together is that you will develop a refined and loving attention with which to view the world and yourself.

My approach is influenced by mindfulness, somatic and developmental psychology as well as the shamanic view of nature as healing. I graduated from JFKU with an MA in Transpersonal psychology with an emphasis on Jung. This training has strengthened my trust in dreams, energy, and the unconscious as doorways to a higher wisdom.

In our work together I hope to facilitate the joining of your spirit, personality, and body so that you can come to your own sense of grounded wholeness and joy.

Please feel free to contact me at (510) 601-1929 Ex.4.

My philosophy of psychotherapy includes the spiritual, somatic and relational. In my time as a practicing therapist with individuals, couples and families, I have found that the most important healing and transformational component is the holding of a supportive, compassionate, and trusting environment.

Profound changes can occur when we sit attentively and listen to your story of the ups and downs of your life. We can explore your family of origin issues, your negative beliefs about yourself, and perhaps unravel the unhealthy and unwanted habits and patterns that don't serve you anymore.

I am well versed in working with depression, anxiety, past traumas, life transitions, work related issues, family of origin and addictions. I welcome all sexual orientations and issues related to the LGBT community.

I received my Master in Counseling Psychology from USF, along with a certification in Mood Disorders.

Please give me a call @510-601-1929 ext. 3, so that we may connect and I may help you on your journey to knowing yourself better.

In my work as a therapist I use a holistic approach, incorporating body, mind and spirit. I believe that one of the most important aspects of psychotherapy is providing a supportive, compassionate and trusting environment. From a place of mindful curiosity you will be seen and heard as you process and heal from the wounds that hold you back. We will co-create a safe place for your journey in accessing your deepest compassion for yourself. Within this safe environment you may explore in depth your life experiences that have caused you pain.

I received my MA in Somatic Psychology (Body Oriented Psychotherapy) from John F. Kennedy University. I trained at the Sensorimotor Institute in Trauma Treatment, and I am also a grief counselor.

In my practice I work with individuals, couples, adolescents and GLTB community. I work with life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, family issues, work related issues, family of origin issues and addictions. I am currently at Earth Circles on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I can be reached at (925) 238-3414.

I believe therapy is most effective when it focuses on finding solutions and not only revealing old patterns. I work from client's strengths to uncover latent capacities and talents. I direct the therapeutic process toward solutions and present-future oriented aspirations.

With couples and families I am very active. I help you engage in cycles of giving and receiving appreciation, apologizing and forgiving. This spiritually nourishing process will help you move into deeper loving partnership.

I also work effectively with individuals who are struggling to discern their calling or are seeking deeper intimate relationships. I will help you shift your focus toward a felt sense of being equal to the challenges of life.

I am a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies (MA in Integral Counseling Psychology). I also attended the University of Houston (MA in Communications) and UT- Austin (BA-African Studies). I have trained in various therapeutic modalities including Gestalt, Existential-Humanistic, Solutions Focused Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Transpersonal Psychotherapy.

My work is anchored in the belief that an authentic connection to another person has boundless healing power. I believe that every person has, at some level, the need to be seen, heard and understood by others. I use a holistic approach, knowing that many factors contribute to his or her state of mental health, including cultural and spiritual beliefs, personality, life experience, family of origin, attachment style, early childhood development, trauma, ancestral history and traditions, somatic structures and the times in which one lives. It is my belief that each client has within them the knowledge and power to heal and grow, and that my role is to help facilitate the discovery and application of those inherent tools. I particularly enjoy helping couples and families begin to learn new ways to communicate with and appreciate each other and address the barriers to a healthy relationship.

If you are looking for a therapist, I encourage you to call me, ask me questions and see if our connection feels right for you. My fees are reasonable and on a sliding scale. Contact me at (510) 601-1929 ext. 2 or tina@earthcirclescenter.com. Please make sure to include a phone number where you can be reached in any e-mail communication.

Therapy is a journey of self discovery. It can be simple like finding a solution to the issue that led you to seek help. It can be more complex like learning who you are and how you interact with others. I hold a Master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and have worked for the past 25 years in the human services field. Working with individual adults with mental health issues has been my occupation for the past 18 years.

Assisting couples with improving their communication skills is a strength. Finding ways to help adolescents and young adults with life transitions, while exploring new options, and helping them improve relationships is an evolving passion. Helping people to explore issues related to loss and grief is becoming a major focus and exploration in my practice. Learning how to work with children and discovering their excitement is leading to new insights and knowledge. Working with expressive arts, sand tray and other modalities will assist us along the journey we will take together.

Please contact me at (510) 601-1929 ext 9 and leave a message or email evan@earthcirclescenter.com so we can arrange an appointment.

Monica Markiewicz, MFTI #63548
supervised by Yvonne Beyer, MFT #36544
I believe in joy. When a client enters therapy they are reaching out for that joy. Together we can create safe space, and a new, healthy relationship model that can serve as fertile ground for a client to discover their joy.

My special interest is in helping others navigate life's transitions. Whether a client simply feels stuck at a fork in the road, or they are facing such profound challenges as trauma, chronic illness, disability, or end of life issues, we can be together in those experiences. It is also essential to connect with the whole person in therapy; the client's mind, body, spirit and soul are all invited to be part of the process.

My training is in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, where I was granted an MA. I've also studied the Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping). Before becoming a therapist I spent many years working in holistic medicine, mainly in the fields of Women's Health and HIV medicine. I'm also a Certified Massage Therapist.

I welcome your call at (510) 601-1929, ext. 12 or email at monica@earthcirclescenter.com.

Rebecca Olmsted, MFTI #58503
supervised by Yvonne Beyer, MFT #36544
A graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies specializing in somatics (body oriented psychology), I have training in the Hakomi method, which uses an approach of mindfulness, compassion, and curiosity to guide the client through his/her own experience. I also love to incorporate creativity and expressive art into the practice of psychotherapy.

My approach is practical, and in the present moment, seeing you as a whole person, of body, soul, and spirit. My belief is that for therapy to be successful, it is as important for you to be able to access your aliveness, your hopes and dreams, as it is important for you to be able to access what has hurt you or what limits you. Most of our wounds happen in relationship to others, so my goal in therapy is to let our relationship serve as a healing experience.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and elders, and with issues of chronic illness, disability, end of life, and trauma.

I can be reached at 510 601 1929, extension 15 or by email at rebecca@earthcirclescenter.com.
